Ethos is committed to employing individuals who have the right attitude and willingness to learn, we work closely with the learning organisation Prevista to help advance our employees knowledge and skills.
Formed in 1995, Prevista’s goal is to support every learner, young person, entrepreneur and delivery partner in achieving their maximum potential and ensure that success is sustainable. Prevista delivers government funded services across four key strands: Employment, Skills, Youth Provision and Enterprise. Through this broad portfolio of funding we support people of all ages, from a young person at risk of leaving education to adults achieving Level 5 qualifications whilst in work through to entrepreneurs seeking to grow their business. We deliver services to all sections of society and are expert at tailoring services to the needs of particular client groups. A 2015 Skills Funding Agency survey revealed 97% of learners would recommend Prevista to a friend or colleague. Prevista is an Ofsted Grade 2 organisation with the following quality marks: Matrix, Investors in People, ISO9001:2008, ISO27001, Green Mark Award and Customer First Standard.
Prevista started working with Ethos Facilities learners in late January 2016. Since then, many members of staff successfully completed and achieved Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning and Support Services. This qualification also enabled them to improve their literacy and numeracy skills, and look for new opportunities to progress with their careers.
Current working group 2017/2018
We currently have a number of our employees enrolled on Level 2 and Level 3 qualification courses and are successfully progressing through monthly with one to one support from their dedicated tutor/assessor.
What’s next on the agenda for our team ?
Through collaborative work with the Ethos Facilities management team, we identified the need for Literacy and Numeracy support for a small number of employees. In line withPrevista’s ethos to support every learner, we are working closely to support all employees to enhance their skills to become confident and successful in their roles. A 12-week literacy support programme has been developed by Prevsta’s experienced tutors which will enable learners to acquire required skills and progress with their qualifications.
Prevista has recently added 2 more qualifications to their extensive portfolio. ‘Facilities Management’ and ‘Higher Level Management’ qualifications. Both of these have now become part of the Ethos Facilities growing list of training and development initiatives.
